Groups of devices, or Areas, have properties that can be configured, including Area-wide dim limits, occupancy and vacancy behaviors, daylighting, and more. The types of devices in the Area determine what settings are available.
To configure an Area, tap the “Action” button (three dots) next to the Area and tap “Settings.”
Make any changes and tap “Save” when finished.
Settings
- Light State: Turns on or off the lights for all devices with a load in the area. Cannot be set if Area Occupancy Mode is set to Occupancy. Requires a controllable device in the area.
- Dim Level: Can be set from 1 to the Max Dim Limit configured for the area, applies to all devices with a dimmable load in the area. Cannot be set if Daylighting Enabled is set. Requires a controllable, dimmable device in the area.
- CCT – Changes the correlated color temperature (warm light to cool light) for all devices that support color tuning in the area. Minimum and maximum kelvin are determined by the limits of the devices in the area. Requires a color tunable device in the area.
- Max Dim Limit – The maximum dim value the area can be set to. If the maximum value is below the area’s current dim level, the Hub will attempt to set all devices in the area to that new maximum value. Any control devices (dimmers, wall control) will be updated to prevent setting the dim level past the maximum. Requires a controllable, dimmable device in the area. Defaults to 100.
NOTE: If Occupied Dim Level or Unoccupied Dim Level is set to a value above the maximum dim level, they will be automatically changed to the new maximum value.
