Flexibility
Industrial and manufacturing facilities are especially challenging with large, open spaces often spanning miles, but the flexibility of Lightcloud and its wireless controls make controlling these spaces easy. Lightcloud is able to natively control 120-277VAC and 347/480VAC applications, and all of the devices work together to create a robust mesh network.
Outdoor lighting is often spread over long distances with lots of natural light. Lightcloud devices communicate up to 1000′ apart and repeat the signal for near limitless distances. If devices are too far apart, our wireless Gateways can create additional mesh networks that communicate with each other over a secure, cellular signal.
Control Strategies: Exterior lighting often incorporates astronomical schedules (schedules based on sunrise and sunset), daylight harvesting (dimming lights to account for natural light in a space), and motion sensing to ensure no one is ever in the dark.
Interior spaces have their own challenges with a variety of lighting types and needs for manufacturing facilities, warehouses, and offices. Lightcloud can control nearly any fixture type and is available pre-installed in thousands of Lightcloud-enabled RAB LEDs.
Control Strategies: Interior lighting often incorporates schedules, daylight harvesting, bi-level dimming, and scenes.
Security
Industrial and manufacturing facilities contain highly sensitive, intellectual property and customer data. To help ensure all of customer data is safe, Lightcloud was designed to be the most secure lighting control system available, and we continue to be a security first system.
Isolation: Lightcloud operates completely independently of all other corporate networks, so there’s no way to use Lightcloud as a backdoor into other system or for other system to penetrate Lightcloud.
Encryption: Lightcloud encrypts all of its data at every step from devices to the web App.
Restriction: Access is restricted by site, passwords, two-factor authentication, and user-level permissions. Every network uses its own keys, so a compromise would be isolated. Touch interfaces can be password protected with unique controls for each user. Dimmers in public spaces can be disabled during times that the public are in the space.
Scalability
Lightcloud is perfect for industrial and manufacturing facilities large and small and can be installed in a single area or the entire facility. As needs change or the business grows, Lightcloud can change with them. It’s easy to reconfigure devices or add on to the system at a later time. All of the settings are updated remotely, so there’s no re-wiring or dip switches. These changes are all assisted by Lightcloud Support.
Support: Every Lightcloud system includes 10 years of concierge service, which includes remote support, diagnostics, and recommissioning. That means if at any point during those 10 years a customer wants to make changes or get support for the system, customers can call 1.844.Lightcloud, and Lightcloud Support will make the changes remotely.
Powerful Features
Lightcloud is the most powerful lighting control system and offers a number of capabilities that other systems simply can’t.
Centralized Management: Lightcloud enables the entire system to be managed from anywhere, so you don’t need access to any of the devices to change settings or view the status of the system. All you need is an internet-connected device to access the full system.
Alerts: In the event of a problem such as a lamp needing maintenance, Lightcloud can send you notifications, so issues can quickly be addressed.
Energy Monitoring: Lightcloud enables you to see the actual energy being used by each device and provides insights to save even more. Typical Lightcloud installations save on average 40%-90% of lighting-related energy use.
Permissions: Lightcloud has multiple user types and each user can be given access to the entire site, specific Areas, or individual fixtures.
Systems Integration: Lightcloud can be combined with other systems such as alarms or HVAC via BACnet or Triggers.
